Changes to ticket prices and new closing day at the museum

An increase in ticket prices has recently been approved by the Museum. The new prices are:

• 7 € standard ticket (previously 6 €)

• 5 € reduced price ticket (previously 4.50 €)

• 14 € ARTEAN pass (combined entry to the Museo Guggenheim and Museo del Bellas Artes in Bilbao) (previously 13.50 €)

There will still be free entry for all visitors every Wednesday of the year. There is also free entry for the unemployed, children aged under 12 and all other visitors with valid entitlement. Finally, on Sundays from 2pm to 8pm there is free entry for visitors aged under 25.

In addition, it has been decided to change the day on which the Museum closes, which will now be Tuesdays (instead of Mondays). The Museum will thus open every day of the year (except 25 December and 1 January), except on Tuesdays, when it will now be closed. This initiative has been taken to balance out the opening hours at the leading museums in Bilbao.

Both changes will be introduced on Monday 3 February 2014.
